Adjusting the Neutral Switches

1. Park the machine on a level surface and set the key switch to the O
position.
2. Lower the operator's cushion.
Be careful not to scratch the face of the sensor when measuring or
adjusting the sensor clearance.
3. When the traction control lever is in the N
between the sensing plate and the end of the aeration switch is 6.4 to 7.8
mm (0.25 to .31 inch). Check the clearance for the right side and left side
neutral switch.
4. To adjust the switch:
A. Ensure that the aeration bail moves freely and returns fully.
B. Loosen the jam nuts that secure the switch to the bracket and position the
switch to allow correct clearance between switch and the sensing plate.
C. Tighten the switch jam nuts from 24 N·m (212 in-lb).
D. Recheck switch to traction control lever clearance.
5. Test the operation of the neutral switches before returning the machine to
service.
