Removing and Installing the Air Cleaner
Engine: Service and Repairs
Refer to Figure 12 for this procedure.
1. Park the machine on a level surface, engage the parking brake, set the key
switch to the O position and remove key from the switch.

2. Lower the operator cushion to gain access to the air cleaner components.
3. Remove the air cleaner components as needed.
4. Refer to the traction unit Operator's Manual for air cleaner service and
maintenance procedures.
Any leaks in the air cleaner system will allow the dirt into the engine
and will cause serious engine damage. Ensure that all air cleaner
components are in good condition and are properly secured during
assembly.
5. Examine the air cleaner housing and cover for wear and damage that could
cause possible air leaks. Replace components if necessary.
6. Examine the air intake hose for wear or damage and replace the hoses
if necessary.
