Control valve assembly
5. Start the engine and run it at low-idle speed. Correct any hydraulic fluid leaks
at the test connections before continuing the test.
6. Make sure hydraulic fluid is at normal operating temperature by operating the
machine for approximately 5 minutes.
7. Set the throttle to a medium speed (2,575 to 2,725 RPM). Verify the engine
RPM with a non-contact tachometer.
8. Momentarily hold any of the lift control levers in the fully raised (extended)
position and record the highest reading on the pressure gauge.
9. Move the throttle to low speed and set the key switch to the O
10. The circuit relief valve pressure should be approximately 6000 kPa (870
PSI). If the relief pressure can not be met or is greater than specified, the
relief valve is damaged and should be repaired or replaced; refer to
the Control Valve (page
11. After testing:
A. Remove the pressure gauge and cover the test fitting with the cap
provided.
B. Check and adjust the level of the hydraulic fluid in the hydraulic reservoir;
refer to the traction unit Operator's Manual.
C. Start the engine and check for any hydraulic fluid leaks. Repair hydraulic
leaks if necessary before returning the machine to service.
