Installing the Engine (continued)
Engine: Service and Repairs
Ensure that you do not damage fuel hoses, electrical harness, or
other parts when lowering the engine into place.
2. Secure the engine to the chassis with the previously removed fasteners.
3. Connect the engine electrical connections:
• the negative (-) battery cable and wire harness ground connectors at the
engine crankcase
• the machine wire harness at the engine wire harness connector
• the positive (+) battery cable and fusible link harness at the starter motor
stud
Note: Replace any cable ties and clamps that were removed during
disassembly.
Apply battery terminal protector to the ring terminals of the positive and
negative battery cables; refer to
4. Connect the throttle and choke control cables to the engine.

6. Install the evaporative canister and fuel tank; refer to

7. Install the hydraulic fluid filter assembly to the machine.
8. Remove any caps and plugs from the hydraulic fittings and hoses then install

14. Check all wires and hoses to make sure that they do not contact rotating
or moving parts.
15. Check the engine oil level and adjust as necessary; refer to the traction unit

16. Check the hydraulic fluid level and adjust as necessary; refer to the traction
unit Operator's Manual.
