Neutral switch
The neutral switches are normally open proximity switches. The switches are
attached to a brackets located below the control panel, one on each side of the
machine. The sensing plate that triggers the switch is the traction control lever
for that side. When the traction control lever is moved to a F
position, the sensing plate moves away from the target end of the neutral switch
so the switch opens. The traction control lever returns to the N
(closing the switch) by the RTN assembly of the piston (traction) pump..
The hour meter/controller monitors the position of the neutral switches. Both of
the neutral switches must be closed (both traction control levers in the N
position) to start the engine.
