Safety: Jacking Instructions
If the machine is not properly raised and supported, the machine
may move or fall, which may result in personal injury.
• Use only mechanical or hydraulic jacks to raise the machine.
• Do not use the hydraulic wheel motors as a jacking or support
location.
• Do not use an attachment as a jacking or support location.
• Use jack stands to support the raised machine.
Before you lift the machine, remove any attachment that may interfere with
correctly raising the machine.
1. Park the machine on a level surface, raise the attachment, engage the
parking brake, set the key switch to the O
the switch.
2. Chock the wheels that remain on the ground to prevent the machine from
moving.
3. Position the jack securely under the frame, or lift the machine from overhead
by the frame.
4. Carefully raise the machine.
5. Position jack stands under the machine frame to support the machine and
lower the machine onto the jack stands.
Numerous safety and instruction decals are affixed to the Field Pro 6040. If any
decal becomes illegible or damaged, install a new decal. Decal part numbers
are listed in your Parts Catalog, Operator's Manual, and accessory Installation
Instructions. Order replacement decals from Authorized Toro Distributor.
