Out of Frame
An Out of Frame (OOF) event begins when any two of

four consecutive frame synchronizing bits received from
the network interface are incorrect. An OOF state ends
when a reframe occurs.
BiPolar
A BiPolar Violation (BPV) error event for an

AMI-coded signal is the occurrence of a pulse of the same
polarity as the previous pulse. A BPV error event for a
B8ZS-coded signal is the occurrence of a pulse of the
same polarity as the previous pulse without being a part of
the zero substitution code.
CRC Errors
A CRC error occurs when the CRC field calculated by the
customer installation, based on the incoming DS1 signal
does not agree with the CRC field contained in the DS1
signal received from the network.
Controlled Slips A CS is the occurrence of a replication or deletion of a
DS1 frame by the receiving terminal.
