Ethernet Interface Operation
8.2.1.8.1 CDM-710 Common Private MIBs
The CDM-710 Common MIB holds all unit parameters not associated with
Modulator, Demodulator, FEC, or Interface boards:
• The "System Information Group" provides hardware configuration
information as well as serial and model numbers.
• The "Remote Serial Group" provides parameters to the legacy serial
interface parameters. This includes the Local/Remote State, Physical
Interface (EIA-232 or EIA-485), Address and baud rate selections. This
group also provides address selection for the 1:1 redundancy controller.
• The "Remote Ethernet Group" provides parameters of the Ethernet
interface. This includes the IP Address and Mask, IP Gateway, and MAC
Address.
• The "Ethernet SNMP Group" provides parameters necessary to configure
the SNMP interface.
• The "Interface FEC Group" provides parameters that control the unit's
two FEC Slots and the capabilities of the cards loaded in those slots.
• The "Modem Reference Group" provides the parameters that control the
unit's frequency reference.
• The "Monitor Group" provides access to the unit's current Alarm/Fault
Status as well as the Stored Alarms/Events.
• The "Test Group" provides access to the unit's test modes.
• The "Save/Load Group" provides control of the unit's Store and Load
Configuration capabilities.
• The "Utilities Group" provides access to the unit's Real-Time Clock (Time
and Date), Internal Reference Adjustment, Circuit ID, and Front Panel
Display Brightness Control.
• The "Firmware Group" provides Firmware Numbers, Revision Numbers,
and Release Dates for all firmware within the unit.

Modulator.
