Physical Description

Figure B-3 shows the block diagrams for the CDI-40 data interface module. The
CDI-40 features differ based on the specific module in use. Figure B-4 shows the
rear panel of the module. The CDI-40 combines two electrical and physical
interfaces into a single assembly. The ASI section provides a DVB compliant
interface with four BNC-F connectors. Connection to the modem is provided
when the module's 96-pin DIN connector is engaged into modem Interface Slot
1. Light-Emitting Diodes (LEDs) light green when the module senses ASI data
activity.
