Rows for currently selected inputs are highlighted in blue with a yellow bar on the left side.
Except for input naming and HDCP authorization, all other controls and adjustments can be
configured using the front panel menu and controls.

Configuring inputs

The Input Configuration panel of the
to rename inputs and configure their settings, select component video format, and configure
aspect ratio, Auto-Image, Auto Memory, HDCP authorization, audio mode, mute, and audio
gain for each input.
To configure each input on the SMP 351 :
1.
Open the
Input/Output Settings

To change the names of the Input buttons within the
Input Configuration panel, rename each input. Click in the appropriate Input
field and replace Input n with the desired text. Only about eight characters are visible on
the buttons.

For input 3, select the video type (YUVp/HDTV, YUVi, or Composite) from the
Signal Type drop-down list (shown below).

Video types are not configurable for the other inputs.

For each input, select an aspect ratio from the Aspect Ratio drop-down list.
Fill — Scales the input signal to fill the entire video output.
Follow — Follows the source signal aspect ratio, with respect to the current output
resolution setting. A black letter box or pillar box bars is applied for aspect ratio
compensation.
Fit — Scales the signal up. Some of the image at either the top and bottom or the left
and right is cropped in order to fit the screen.
NOTE: The selected input aspect ratio setting is applied to both the archive and
confidence outputs. If the confidence resolution is different, the applied aspect
ratio can not be maintained. For example, if the archive resolution is 1080p with an
aspect ratio of 16:9, and the confidence display is 1024x768 with an aspect ratio
of 4:3, the input aspect ratio selection can not be maintained for both.
