9.
Configure audio encoding (in the Audio Encoding panel of the Archive Encoder
column):
Select the audio bit rate from the Audio Bitrate drop-down list. The SMP
supports rates of 80, 96, 128, 192, 256, and 320 bits per second (bps) for stereo
audio.
Select the audio channel (A, B, or dual channel) to use from the Channel
Selection drop-down list.
If desired, set a delay period for the audio to follow video. Type the number of
miliseconds (from 0 to 999) into the Audio Delay field or click the Up and Down
arrows to adjust the period.
NOTE: The confidence encoding stream uses the same audio encoding settings as
the archive encoding stream.
Configure Streaming
NOTE: Streaming configurations are not saved to a preset.
To configure streaming settings, first select the streaming method (Push or Pull). Click
and slide the Streaming Method control
to the left or right to expose the name of the
desired method. The streaming options below
the Streaming Method control change
depending on the selected option.
To configure push streaming:
1.
Slide the Streaming Method: control to
Push.
2.
Select the streaming protocol type (Unicast
or Multicast) from the Streaming
Protocol: drop-down list.
3.
Select the protocol (TS/UDP, TS/RTP, or
ES/RTP) from the using: drop-down list.
4.
In the Destination: field, specify the
IP address of the destination device. If
necessary, specify the virtual port number
by typing the number into the port# field or
using the using the Up and Down arrows to
change the value for that field.
NOTES:
For multicast protocol, the archive stream and the confidence stream must be set to
different destination IP addresses. Multicast protocol operates on IP addresses, not
port numbers. If both streams were to use the same IP address, the both streams
would be routed to any device that joins one of the streams, wasting the bandwidth
for the stream that is not desired.
For unicast protocol, the archive stream and the confidence stream can be set to
the same IP address as long as the port numbers differ. This makes it possible to
use unicast push streams with a Wowza® Media Server® or similar system.
