5.
Select (enable) or deselect (disable) the following check boxes for each input:
Auto-Image — Select the check box to apply Auto-Image one time to the input.
When selected, Auto-Image is applied whenever there is a change in the input sync.
Auto-Image automatically sizes and centers the selected input. The processor measures
the sync frequencies of an incoming video source and uses an internal table to set the
active image area, total image area, and the sampling frequency.
NOTE: When overscan is enabled, default values for the detected signal type are
used. When overscan is disabled, alternate timings can be detected.
Auto Memory — Select the check box to enable Auto Memory. Auto Memory
recalls input and image settings for signals that have previously been applied. When
Auto Memory is disabled, the SMP 351 treats every new input as a new source.

To compare settings saved by Auto Memory with settings that are saved for input
presets and user presets, see the table in Presets (see
page 81).
HDCP Authorized — Select this check box for digital inputs 1, 2, and 4 in order to
have the input report as an HDCP Authorized device. If the box is not selected the
source will output unencrypted video (if the content is not encrypted). This allows more
content to be recorded by the SMP 351.
NOTE: The HDCP Authorized option is available only for HDMI inputs.
Audio Mute — Select this check box to mute the input audio.
6.
Configure the audio settings for each input as applicable:
From the Audio Mode drop-down list, select the type of audio (Off [none],
Analog Stereo, or Digital Stereo) .
Set the analog and digital audio gain — Enter the amount of audio gain or
attenuation (from -18 dB to +24 dB) in the appropriate field (Analog Audio
Level (dB) or Digital Audio Level (dB)) or use the Up and Down arrows to
increment or decrement the value.
Information
On
"New" signals or rates that have not been
previously detected by the device are initially set
up using default parameters. Then, Auto-Image is
automatically applied and values are stored. The
Next time that signal is detected, the values stored
in the auto memory location are applied.
Off
"New" signals or rates that have not been previously
detected by the device are set up using default
parameters. If changes are made manually to the
input and picture settings, an auto memory location
is created and then recalled each successive
instance that the input is detected.
On
When auto memory is disabled, each change in the
input sync is treated as a new signal, and Auto-
Image is triggered automatically. Any changes that
are made manually to the image and picture controls
are lost each time a new refresh rate is detected.
Off
Each change in the input sync causes default values
to be applied to the rate. Any changes that are
made manually to the image and picture controls are
lost when a new rate is applied.
