Flex I/O Applications

This section provides basic instructions on how to use each supplemental plug-in
application (app) available for the SMP 351 . Topics include:

About the Digital I/O Configuration App

This application allows you to first configure and label the digital input/output (I/O) ports and
then create up to 16 different monitors that check for conditions and apply actions when the
conditions are met.
Below are basic instructions on how to use the Digital I/O Configuration plug-in application
(app) available for the SMP 351 once it has been downloaded and installed. A user must
have administrator privileges to access the Advanced Features page of the SMP 351
embedded Web pages and to use this application.

Access the Application
Open the SMP 351 embedded Web pages:
a.
Open a Web browser.

Enter the SMP 351 IP address into the address field and navigate to that unit.
If no passwords have been set for the unit, the embedded Web pages open
automatically to the Recording Controls page. If one or more passwords has
been set for the SMP 351 , a dialog box opens and prompts the user to enter a
user name and password.

If necessary, enter an administrator level user name and password.

Click Log In or OK. The SMP 351 embedded Web page opens to the
Recording Controls page.
Click the Configuration tab at the top of the SMP 351 embedded Web pages.
Click the Advanced Features tab on the second tier of tabs. You may need to scroll
the page to the right or scroll the second tier of tabs to see Advanced Features at
the far right.
