Alternative 1: The CD immediately boots. This indicates that the hard disk is
unformatted and unpartitioned.

Allow CD activity and intermediate pauses to run for about 10 minutes.

Alternative 2: HyperTerminal displays the message "press any key to boot from CD.".
This indicates that the hard disk contains a valid partition.

<Enter> key to continue and boot from the Windows installation disk.

Alternative 3: The boot process stops after "press any key to boot from CD...."
message. This may indicate that the OSN disk currently contains a Linux installation.
Use a Linux recovery BOOT-CD or other mechanisms to remove all partition
information, and then retry the Windows Boot CD. For example, use the Suse Linux
CD where the "label rescue" in isolinux.cfg was modified to run with serial console.

Type fdisk /dev/hda to start the partition manager.

Type d and w to clear and rewrite the partition table.

To quicken installation, press the <Up> arrow key twice. This changes NTFS
full format to NTFS quick format, eliminating time required for hard disk
formatting.
Press the <Enter> key; CD activity restarts, with several pauses. The
installation runs for at least 60 minutes after which all CD activity and
Mediant 1000 hard disk activity ends.
Using Wireshark, check for BootP broadcasts to find the OSN module's IP
address. Alternatively, you can use the DHCP server for locating the address
that was assigned to the OSN MAC address.
Use Remote Desktop Connection to connect to the OSN module. Use the
user name, password, and domain that you specified in 'Stage 2: Creating
the ISO Image' on page 510.
The procedure described here will remove all partition data from the OSN
hard disk. CONTINUE ONLY IF YOU ARE SURE YOU NO LONGER NEED
ANY INFORMATION FROM THE FIRST PARTITION ON THE DISK.
