    Nortel SCS Installation The Nortel SCS software comes pre-installed on AudioCodes part code M1K-CH-SCS. This order code includes the Mediant 1000 basic chassis (with the CMC, PS and accessories) with the OSN1 Connection module and the SCS preloaded on the HDD.

    The device's front-panel chassis provides slots (numbered as shown in the figure below) for housing the main input/output (I/O) interface modules (i.e., TRUNKS, BRI, FXS and FXO).     Mediant 1000 Replacing Modules The device's I/O modules are hot-swappable (except for the OSN Server modules). The physical replacement of the TRUNKS, FXS, and FXO modules is performed together with a software replacement procedure performed in the device's Web interface. Once you have 'software-removed' the module, you can then physically remove the module and replace it with a new module.
