Return the S-VOL of the secondary site to the SIMPLEX status.
To return the status to SIMPLEX, you can do either of the following:
You must execute the command for dissolving copy pairs on the storage system at the
secondary site. If you want to execute this command from the primary site, you must first
confirm that you are in an environment where the Remote DKC Control Function can be
used.

Using a 3DC Cascade Configuration

If the primary host cannot continue operation, perform a failover to switch operation from the
primary host to the secondary host. The following describes the failover and failback procedures
in a 3DC Cascade configuration.

Failover Procedure

To perform a failover in a 3DC Cascade configuration:
1.
Execute the YKRECVER command for the Cnt Ac-S copy group.
Before executing the YKRECVER command, you must execute the YKQUERY command. Even
if an I/O error occurs during the execution of these commands, there is no problem.
2.
Execute the YKDELETE command for the Cnt Ac-S copy group.
Even if an I/O error occurs during the execution of the YKDELETE command, there is no
problem.
3.
Execute the YKSUSPND REVERSE command for the Cnt Ac-J Z copy group.
From Remote Web Console, change the S-VOL to the SIMPLEX status.
Execute the YKRECVER command.
