The preparation and recovery procedures to be performed when the local site storage system is
in a nonvolatile failure state are the same as the procedures to be performed when a path failure
occurs between the primary site storage system and the local site storage system. See

This subsection explains the procedure to perform when the remote site storage system is in a
volatile failure state.
