An NG scan can be performed on XP12000/XP10000, XP24000/XP20000, and P9500 storage
systems.

Volumes Used for NG Scans

The NG scan uses either a command device or the volume from which disk configuration information
was acquired by a local scan (the first volume in the disk configuration definition file) to acquire
information from the volumes that the OS does not recognize. If you use a command device, set
up a command device and route list before executing an NG scan.
