Preparing the Configuration Files (4x4x4 Cascade)

You need to install Business Continuity Manager Cnt Ac-J Z 4x4 Extended CTG.
204 Configuration Definitions
Description
One host computer is required for each of the
primary, intermediate, and remote sites.
One or more XP12000 or XP24000 storage
systems are required for each site.
A physical path connected by a Fibre Channel
cable is required between the following storage
systems:
A bidirectional path between the storage
systems on the primary site and the
intermediate site (for logical paths)
A bidirectional path between the storage
systems on the intermediate site and the remote
site (for logical paths)
A unidirectional path from the supervisor disk
controller to each subordinate disk controller
(for arbitration path)
Description
At least one arbitration command device is
required for each subordinate disk controller.
An arbitration path from the supervisor disk
controller to each subordinate disk controller
(unidirectional).
Set up a remote command device by mapping it
to the supervisor disk controller of the arbitration
command device.
A journal group is required for each storage
system between the intermediate site and the
remote site (Timer type: SYSTEM).
At least one journal volume is required for each
storage system at the intermediate and remote
sites.
Three command devices are required for each
storage system.
For the Primary -> Intermediate -> Remote route
For the Remote -> Intermediate -> Primary route
For the Intermediate -> Primary and the
Intermediate -> Remote routes
An inter-control unit logical path (bidirectional)
must be established between the primary site
and the intermediate site.
An inter-disk controller logical path
(bidirectional) must be established between
the intermediate site and the remote site.
Remarks
You need a host for a remote site when using
Business Continuity Manager on a remote site.
