162 Configuration Definitions
Description
A journal group is required for the
primary, local, and remote sites (Timer
type: SYSTEM).
One or more journal volumes are
required for each site.
Three command devices are required for
each storage system (one configuration
requires a total of nine command
devices).
For a route originating at the primary
site (one for each site)
For a route originating at the local
site (one for each site)
For a route originating at the remote
site (one for each site)
Add an inter-disk controller logical path
(bidirectional) between the local and
remote sites.
Add a delta resync control path
(bidirectional) between sites.

A Cnt Ac-S Z copy group is required
between the primary site and the local
site.
A Cnt Ac-J Z copy group is required
between the primary site and the remote

Use Remote Web Console for the setup.

When the storage system on the
non-operating site is directly
connected to the host on the operating
site (for example, the storage system
on the primary site and the storage
system on the local site are connected
to the host on the primary site), no
route to the connected storage system
or command device is required.
The Remote > Primary and Remote >
Local routes are not required when
Business Continuity Manager is not
started at the remote site.
Use Remote Web Console or Business
Continuity Manager for the setup.

Set this up before starting a copy

When defining a copy group, specify
the following DAD IDs for Primary Device
Address Domain in the Set Defaults
