Defining SNTP Authentication Methods

The SNTP Authentication page enables SNTP authentication between the device and an SNTP
server. The means by which the SNTP server is authenticated is also selected in the SNTP
Authentication page. Click System → SNTP→ Authentication in the tree view to open the SNTP
Authentication page.

The SNTP Authentication page contains the following:
SNTP Authentication — Enables authenticating an SNTP session between the device and an
SNTP server, when enabled.
Encryption Key ID — Defines the Key Identification used to authenticate the SNTP server and
device. The field value is up to 4294967295.
Authentication Key (1-8 Characters) — The key used for authentication.
Trusted Key — Indicates the encryption key used (Unicast) to authenticate the SNTP server.
Remove — Removes selected authentication keys, when checked.
Adding an SNTP Authentication Key

Open the SNTP Authentication page.

Click Add.
The Add Authentication Key page opens:
