: This button provides a read-out of the current noise
Echo level
in the waters surrounding the vessel. This noise is caused by
air bubbles, water flow and mechanical disturbances from
hull and engine. In order to obtain the best possible sonar
result, the noise level read-out should be as close to 0.0 dB
as possible.

: This button provides a read-out from the roll sensor.
Roll
It presents the actual roll value at the time of the last
transmission.
•
: This button provides a read-out from the pitch sensor.
Pitch
It presents the actual pitch value at the time of the last
transmission.
•
: This button provides a read-out of the current
TRU Temp
temperature inside the Transceiver Unit. If the temperature
rises to an unacceptable level, an alarm will be given. The
information will only be valid if the transceiver has been
equipped with the relevant sensor.

: This is a built-in software function that may

give a more realistic presentation of the echoes.

: This button opens the
Message bar
dialog, which allows you to monitor operational messages
from the sonar. (► Message Bar on page 138)

: This button opens the
Installation menu
the top of the display. This menu is used during installation
of the sonar, and information about this is provided in the
Installation manual.

: This button allows you to switch the
TRU ON/OFF
Transceiver Unit on or off. Two dialog boxes provide you
with the status of this process.
