Simrad SX90 SW 1.6.5 / 1.3.6
Introduction
This document describes the
software and other changes introduced
with the following new software
versions:
• Processor Unit: SW 1.6.5
• Beamformer Unit: SW 1.3.6
The Processor Unit software is the
SX90 program that controls the menu
system, operational modes, features
and presentations.
The Beamformer Unit software
controls how the data from the
Transceiver Unit are received and
processed prior to presentation.
Software changes
The following changes have been
implemented.
• Bug causing software crashes
during mode changes is fixed

improved by adding a post
integrator

• Correction of roll and pitch
readout
• Factory default values improved
• Minor bug fixes
Documentation changes
The SW upgrade procedure has not
been revised, the former version B is
still valid.
The SX90 Reference Manual
and the SX90 Operator Manual are
both changed. The SX90 Installation
Manual is also revised.
How to connect an audio system
to the SX90 sonar is explained in the
F O R S U S T A I N A B L E
revised installation manual, and in a
dedicated document provided for our
dealers.
Do I need the new
software?
The new release is considered to
be very important, and we recommend
that all users update their software.
If I do not wish to
upgrade?
Nothing happens if you do not
wish to upgrade, but you will not be
able to use the latest improvements
provided for the sonar.
