Beamformer Unit
In respect to maintenance tasks, the Beamformer Unit is
physically identical to the Processor Unit. For preventive
maintenance actions, see MC80 Processor Unit on page 194.
Interface Unit
Observe the following on-board maintenance instructions for
the Interface Unit.
Interface Unit cleaning
Ensure that the Interface Unit is kept clean and dry.

Remove dust and salt water residue with a soft cloth
moistened in fresh water. Do not use strong solvents.
Serviceable parts
There are no user serviceable parts inside the Interface Unit.
Operating Panel
Observe the following on-board maintenance instructions for the
Operating Panel.

Transceiver Unit.
Ambient temperature and humidity
It is important that the sonar room is kept dry. The Transceiver
Unit must not be exposed to excessive dust and humidity, as
this can cause corrosive attacks and subsequent failures to the
electronic circuitry. Visit the sonar room at regular intervals to
check temperature and humidity, and take the necessary actions
if the environmental conditions are poor.

The Transceiver Unit must be kept clean and dry. Remove dust
and salt water residue with a soft cloth moistened in fresh water.
