Support For Telecines That Do Not Have A Frame Pulse.
In order to accurately track the 3/2 pulldown in 24 FPS NTSC transfers,
and to track the field dominance of 30 FPS NTSC and 25 FPS PAL
transfers, the 4025TR requires a 'frame pulse' signal. Some 'flatbed type'
telecine devices that use a rotating prism combined with a video camera do
not provide a frame pulse output.
To enable the 'no frame pulse operation' of the 4025TR, set the FRAME
HANDLING menu item of the Engineering toolbox to IGNORE. The Frame
LED on the 4025TR front panel will be ON all the time.
Do not use AUTO rate detect when you have the IGNORE FRAME PULSE
turned ON. Select the correct film transfer rate that you are using.
The following limitations apply when operating the 4025TR without a frame
pulse from the telecine.
