TRANSMISSION
28. Remove the two fasteners
transmission mount bracket assembly to the frame.
Remove the fasteners
to the transmission. Remove the mount assembly
from the vehicle.
29. Slide transmission towards the rear of the vehicle. Lift
and rotate the top of the transmission towards the left
side of the vehicle. With the help of an assistant,
remove transmission from the left rear wheel well
area.
NOTE
Remove the grease zerk from the left rear upper control
arm and the differential solenoid (if equipped) if there is
trouble removing the transmission.

TRANSMISSION INSTALLATION

1. With the help of an assistant,
transmission into the vehicle frame through the left
rear wheel well area.
2. Slide transmission towards rear of the vehicle and
rotate the top of the transmission toward the right side
of the vehicle.
3. Install the rear transmission mount to the frame and
secure with M8 bolts
specification.
TORQUE
Rear Transmission Mount Bracket Fasteners:
22 ft-lb (30 Nm)

4. Install M10 bolt and nut securing the transmission
bracket to the rear mount. Torque fasteners to
specification.
TORQUE
Rear Transmission Isolator Fasteners:
33 ft-lb (45 Nm)
5. Install the two rear exhaust springs securing the
muffler to the rear transmission mounting bracket.
