8.2 Checking Drive Belt

1. Open the left driveshield.
2. Check that the belt (A) is properly located on the
pulleys and tensioned.
should be 14–3/8 in. (365 mm).
3. Check that the adjuster nuts (C) are tight.
4. Check that spring is hooked at the correct location:
• Hole (D) for roll conditioner
• Hole (E) for finger conditioner
5. Close driveshield.
