8 Performing Predelivery Checks

WARNING
To avoid bodily injury or death from unexpected startup of machine, always stop tractor engine, and remove
key before making adjustments to machine.
IMPORTANT:
To avoid machine damage, check that no shipping dunnage has fallen into cutterbar.
1. Perform the final checks and adjustments as listed on the Predelivery Checklist (yellow sheet attached to back
of this instruction) to ensure the machine is field-ready. Refer to the pages for detailed instructions as indicated
on the Predelivery Checklist.
2. The completed Checklist should be retained either by the Operator or the Dealer.
NOTE:
The majority of checks and adjustments are performed during the setup procedures. The following additional
inspections should be performed after the setup is complete.

8.1 Checking Wheel Bolts

DANGER
To avoid bodily injury or death from unexpected startup of the machine, always stop the engine and remove
the key from the ignition before leaving the operator's seat for any reason.
IMPORTANT:
Check and tighten field wheel bolts and transport system wheel bolts (if installed) after the first hour of operation
and every 100 hours thereafter.
1. Torque wheel bolts to 120 ft·lbf (160 N·m) using the
tightening sequence shown.
NOTE:
Whenever a wheel is installed, check torque
after one hour of operation.
