Overview

If you install the optional ISDN G4 Interface Unit Type 140 or G3 Interface Unit
Type 140, your machine can handle two communications, simultaneously. For
example, if you have the G4 unit, the machine can deal with an ISDN G3
communication and ISDN G4 communication at the same time, or a standard G3
line communication and an ISDN communication at the same time. Similarly, the
G3 option lets you handle two G3 communications simultaneously.

Note: You can not install both ISDN Interface Unit Type 140 and G3 Interface
Unit Type 140 on the same fax machine.
Note:
When you use an ISDN G4 service, you need to use an ISDN G4 line. If you
use a PSTN service, you can select either ISDN G3 or G3 lines.
When your fax machine is connected to both an ordinary PSTN G3 line and an
optional ISDN G4 line and you use a PSTN service, you can select either ISDN
G3 or G3 lines.
Please contact your service representative about changing the initial set-up for
this feature.
