Corrective action
A value set for the IP address is invalid.
Check the following range and set an IP address again.
The available setting range of an IP address is from 0.0.0.1 to
223.255.255.254.
However, note that the IP address that meets the following conditions is not
available.
• Loopback address (127.0.0.0 to 127.255.255.255)
• The fourth octet is 0 or 255.
• All of the bits in the host address portion of the IP address (the '0' portion of
a subnet mask) are set to 0 or 1.
• All of the bits in the network address portion of the IP address (the '1'
portion of a subnet mask) are set to 0 or 1.
A value set for the subnet mask is invalid.
Check the following range and set a subnet mask again.
The available setting range of a subnet mask is from 192.0.0.0 to
255.255.255.252.
A subnet mask is a value for distinguishing the network address and host
address portions of an IP address.
It is used to indicate a border between the network address and host address
portions of an IP address.
The network address portion (the '1' portion of a subnet mask) and the host
address portion (the '0' portion of a subnet mask) cannot be set alternatively.
A value set for the default gateway is invalid. Check the following range and
set a default gateway again.
When not using the default gateway, set 0.0.0.0.
The available setting range of a default gateway is from 0.0.0.1 to
223.255.255.254.
However, note that a default gateway that meets the following conditions
cannot be set.
• Loopback address (127.0.0.0 to 127.255.255.255)
• The fourth octet is 255.
Check the following contents and set an IP address again.
• IP addresses are not duplicated between CH.1 and CH.2.
• The network address portions (the '1' portion of a subnet mask) are not
duplicated between CH.1 and CH.2.
Example: IP address of CH.1 and CH.2 are duplicated when changing the IP
address of CH.1 with the IP address changing function and using the IP
address of CH.2 set in GX Works3.
If only one of the channels is changed, the address of the unchanged channel
will be as shown below.
MELSEC-Q series: Current settings are maintained.
MELSEC iQ-R series: Operates with an IP address set in GX Works3.
The changed channel is invalid.
Enable the channel setting using the Setting/monitoring tools for the C
Controller module or GX Works3.
