2.1.5 Install Lens(es)

installed.

Primary Zoom Lens Installation

1. Turn the lens clamp to the OPEN position 
(Figure 2-4).
2. Remove the two hex screws from the lens mount
(Figure 2-5).
3. Orient the lens so the lens retaining ring mounts line
up with the lens mount. Fully insert the assembly
straight into the lens mount opening without turning
(Figure 2-4). Magnets, mounted inside the lens
mount, help to properly guide the lens. When you
hear a clicking sound it indicates the lens has made
contact with the magnets. These magnetic guides
ensure the lens is properly seated inside the mount,
that the aperture is orientated correctly and that the
connector for motorized zoom and focus is properly
connected.
4. Secure the two hex screws and position the lens clamp DOWN to lock the lens assembly in place (Figure
2-5). NOTE: The hex screws must be installed for safety purposes and boresight accuracy. Always secure
the hex screws before engaging the lens clamp.
