Connecting Sources

2.2.1 Cinema Servers

connected to the M-MALM or SCCI connectors on the faceplate. DO NOT connect a laptop or
PC to these connectors - damage will occur.
Cinema servers, such as digital media storage devices or non-cinema sources, such as PCs reside outside the
projector and are connected to one of the ports on the Projector Control Module (PCM) interface panel, located
on the side of the projector (Figure 2-7). The PCM interface panel includes two SMPTE-292M connectors for
input of cinema content, two DVI-D connectors for alternative content, two Ethernet ports and an RS232 port.
A SCCI port is also available for simple automation (i.e., lamp ON/OFF).
