config router_ports
Syntax
config router_ports <vlan_name>
[add|delete] <portlist>
Description
This command allows you to designate a
range of ports as being connected to
multicast-enabled routers. This will ensure
that all packets with such a router as its
destination
enabled router − regardless of protocol, etc.
Parameters
<vlan_name> − The name of the VLAN on
which the router port resides. Maximum 32
characters.
<portlist> − Specifies a range of ports which
will be configured as router ports. The
portlist is specified by listing the lowest
switch number and the beginning port
number on that switch, separated by a
colon. Then the highest switch number,
and the highest port number of the range
(also separated by a colon) are specified.
The beginning and end of the portlist range
are separated by a hyphen. For example,
1:3 would specify switch number 1, port 3;
2:4 specifies switch number 2, port 4.
Thus, 1:3-2:4 specifies all of the ports
between switch 1, port 3 and switch 2, port
4, in numerical
Restrictions
Only administrator-level users can issue
this command.
