HOW TO ERASE THE DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES
When using the scan tool
1. Turn the ignition switch to OFF and then back to ON again.
2. Erase the diagnostic trouble codes.
3. Check to be sure that no diagnostic trouble codes exist.
When using a voltmeter
(1) Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
(2) After disconnecting the battery cable from the battery
(3) Turn the ignition switch to the ON position, read the diagnostic trouble codes and check that a normal code
is output.
