10. Remove and discard all of the valve seals.

Cleaning and Inspection

Inspect the valves for damage or warpage. Replace if necessary.

Measure the valve stem runout. Replace the valves if out of specification.

Measure the valve stem outer diameter. Replace valves if out of specification.

Measure the margin thickness of the valve. Replace the valve if out of specification.
