– Remove the bolts -arrows-.
– Loosen the clamping sleeve -arrow- and push it toward the
rear.
– Remove the catalytic converter with the front exhaust pipe.
Installing
– Place the screwdriver -2- into the opening -arrow- on the tur‐
bocharger and pry out the seal -1-.
– Install new seal.
– Mount the catalytic converter on the turbocharger and install
the screw-type clamp loose.
– Tighten the nuts and screw clamp. Refer to

quence , page 349 . Pay attention to the installation position
of the screw-type clamp. Refer to

– Install the exhaust system free of tension. Refer to
⇒ 1.4 Exhaust System, Installing without Tension ,
page 345 .
Assemble in reverse order of disassembly.
