Troubleshooting
• Check for contaminated or "bleeding" column.
If necessary, regenerate or replace column.
• Check flow cell for contamination or damage.

• A lamp may be weak. Refer to
Maintenance
on page 4-22.
• A lamp connector may be loose. Refer to
Maintenance
on page 4-22.
If none of the above fix the problem, contact the
Gilson Customer Service Department (refer to page
5-10 for contact information) or your Gilson
representative.

Peaks Too Broad

• Check peak width setting - it may be set too
high. Measure the narrowest peak; then set
new value.
• Check for contaminated column. If necessary,
regenerate or replace column.
Decreased Response to Known
Sample
• A lamp may be weak. Refer to
Maintenance
on page 4-22.
• Check connections to recorder. Refer to the
recorder's troubleshooting instructions.
• Verify sample concentration and solvent.
• Check flow cell for contamination. Refer to
Flow Cell Maintenance

Abnormally High System Pressure

• Check for blockage in flow cell or tubing.
