Removal
1. Release fuel system pressure
2. Turn off all the electrical equipment and ignition switch.
3. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
4. Drain the coolant
5. Remove the high-voltage cables
6. Remove the spark plugs
7. Remove the ignition coil
8. Remove the thermostat
9. Remove the thermostat seat
10.Remove the fuel rail injector assembly
11. Remove the exhaust manifold assembly
12.Disconnect the intake VVT control vavle connector
(arrow).

13.Disconnect the exhaust VVT control vavle connector
(arrow).
14.Remove the electronic throttle assembly
15.Remove the intake manifold assembly
16.Remove the accessory drive belt
17.Use an engine equalizer to hang the engine.
18.Remove the engine timing belt
19.Remove the cylinder head cover
20.Remove the exhaust camshaft phaser assembly
21.Remove the intake camshaft phaser assembly
22.Remove the timing belt rear cover
