3.2.11 Manual Bypass Mode_ Dual Input_ Parallel Units

please follow the procedures below to manually switch each of the parallel UPSs to manual
bypass mode.

Turn off each external battery cabinet's breaker and take out every battery module
(optional) from each parallel UPS's battery module slot. For the battery module slot's
location, please refer to 2.6 Internal View. For battery module (optional) information,
please refer to 5.9 Battery Module (Optional). For external battery cabinet
information, please refer to 5.6 External Battery Cabinet Connection Warnings.
In manual bypass mode, all power inside the parallel UPSs is completely cut off and
maintenance personnel can perform maintenance safely. The connected critical loads will
be supplied by the manual bypass. During manual bypass mode, all parallel UPSs' tri-color
parallel UPSs in manual bypass mode.

1. In manual bypass mode, make sure that all of the breakers and switches (except
each parallel UPS's Manual Bypass Breaker (Q2)) are in the OFF position
before working on any of the parallel UPSs' internal circuits. This avoids
electric shock.
