5.9.3 Battery Module Removal

Follow on-site requirements to decide how many covers of the battery module slots
that you need to remove (each cover has 7 screws). Please see Figure 5-52.

A layer of the battery module slot accommodates four battery modules. Take out the
battery modules one by one. One person holds the battery module's handle and two
persons work together to pull it out of the UPS cabinet.

NOTE:
1. In battery mode, do not hot-swap any battery module.
2. Only qualified service personnel can perform the following battery module
removal procedures.
3. Removal of the battery module(s) will let your critical loads not be protected
once a power event occurs. Please ensure that your critical loads are safely
shut down before removal of the battery module(s).
4. The battery module is heavy (> 23.66 kg). At least two people are required for
handling.
