Appendix 4.2
This section describes transmission delay time (time until data is transmitted).
(1) Master station ↔ remote I/O station
(a) Master station (RX)  remote I/O station (input)
This is the time between a signal input to a remote I/O station and the device of a CPU module turning on (off).
[Formula]
The letters in the table mean as follows.
SM:
Master station sequence scan time
LS:
Link scan time
LS  SM (The decimal point is rounded up.)
n:
Rio:
Remote I/O response time
With block guarantee of cyclic data per station
Calculation
value
Asynchronous mode
Normal value
(SM × n) + (LS × 1) + Rio
Max. value
(SM × n) + (LS × 2) + Rio
When master station sequence scan time is 20ms, link scan time is 3ms, and remote I/O response time is
Ex.
1.5ms
With block guarantee of cyclic data per station
Calculation
value
Asynchronous mode
(20 × 1) + (3 × 1) + 1.5
Normal value
= 24.5ms
(20 × 1) + (3 × 2) + 1.5
Max. value
= 27.5ms
Transmission delay time
Synchronous mode
{(SM × n) × 1} + Rio
{(SM × n) × 2} + Rio
Synchronous mode
{(20 × 1) × 1} + 1.5
= 21.5ms
{(20 × 1) × 2} + 1.5
= 41.5ms
Without block guarantee of cyclic data per station
Asynchronous mode
SM + (LS × 1) + Rio
{(SM × n) × 1} + Rio
SM + (LS × 2) + Rio
{(SM × n) × 2} + Rio
Without block guarantee of cyclic data per station
Asynchronous mode
20 + (3 × 1) + 1.5
{(20 × 1) × 1} + 1.5
= 24.5ms
= 21.5ms
20 + (3 × 2) + 1.5
{(20 × 1) × 2} + 1.5
= 27.5ms
= 41.5ms
