ABNORMAL IMAGE DENSITY

1. Image Density Is Too High Or Too Low
- Possible Causes -
charge
+ Incorrect
malfunction
+ ID sensor
- Action -
Check the output voltage of the ID sensor using SP Mode # 55. Is the volt-
age correct?

Adjust the voltage so that it is within standard.

Check and adjust the charge corona current.
If the image density is too light, use SP Mode # 60 to supply toner.
VERTICAL BLACK LINES OR BANDS

1. Wavy Lines

- Possible Causes -
+ Dust between the cleaning blade and drum
+ Edge of the cleaning blade deformed
+ Insufficient cleaning pressure
+ Cleaning mechanism not working properly
- Action -
Clean the edge of the cleaning blade. Do the lines still exist or do they reap-
pear after a short time?
