PAPER CREASING

- Possible Causes -
If thin copy paper is used, the leading edge may not set correctly between
the fusing rollers, resulting in creased copies.
+ Paper curl

Is thin paper used frequently?

Move the fusing entrance guide to the upper position.
if the paper is curled, reduce the fusing pressure. If this does not solve the
creasing problem, instruct the customer to correct the paper curl before
copying.
MULTIFEED AND MISFEED
- Possible Causes -
+ incorrect friction between the feed pad and feed roller,
+ Very thin or very thick paper is being used.
- Action -
Is the gap between the friction pad and feed roller 1.6 * 0.3 mm?

Adjust the friction pad/feed roller gap,
Do the feed problems occur mostly with the cassette tray?

If multifeeds are common, decrease the friction pad/feed roller gap

slightly to. increase feed friction.
If misfeeds (feed failure) are common, increase the friction pad/feed

roller gap slightly to de,crease feed friction.
If the customer uses special paper frequently, adjust the friction at one

feed station to match the special paper. Instruct the user to use only
that station to copy the special paper.
Adjust the friction pad holder position.
If the above measures do not solve the problem, replace the feed roller and
friction pad.
