4. Auto ID Fiber Cable Replacement

Remove the platen cover.
3 .
Remove the exposure glass (see Exposure Glass Removal) and the
upper cover (11 screws).

Position the first scanner [A] in the cut out for scanner removal.
5 .
Move the reflector cover [B] in the direction of the arrow (2 screws).
NOTE: Unhook the fiber optics cable from the reflector cover.
6 .
Remove the exposure lamp leads [C] from the exposure lamp terminal
[D]
7 .
Remove the auto ID sensor [E] (2 screws).
8 .
Remove the scanner harness [F] from the harness hold-down block [G]
(1 screw).
9 .
Disconnect the exposure lamp harness [H] and the fiber optics cable [1]
from the lamp regulator [J].
10 .
Replace the auto ID fiber optics cable.
