Shock absorber

For this task the following tool are recommended:
• 1 Shock absorber adjustment tool
The spring force of the shock absorber must be adjusted to the proper
value in relation to the user's weight.
To get the best comfort and performance in relation to the user's weight,
the shock absorbers should be adjusted according to the table below.
User weight
0–243 lbs
243–275 lbs
275–330 lbs
The adjustment can be made manually or by using a adjustment tool
that can be ordered from Permobil.
When using the tool, some components need to be removed to gain
proper access to the shock absorber's adjustment nut.
1. Remove the chassis top cover. See Covers , Page 14 and/or the
drive wheel, see Drive wheels , Page 37
2. Rotate the nut to the proper setting, either by hand or by using the
tool that can be ordered from Permobil.
3. Re-assemble cover and/or drive wheel.

Avoid short circuit
Turn off main circuit breaker off before performing any work on the batteries to
prevent any short circuit, damage to the wheelchair and/or bodily injury.
