BUSY LAMP FIELD (BLF)

The BLF feature on the IP phones allows a specific extension to be monitored for state changes.
BLF monitors the status (busy, idle, ringing, and on hold) of extensions on the IP phone.
Notes:
1. Applicable to the 6865i, 6867i, 6869i, and 6873i IP phones only.
2. BLF feature availability is dependent on your call manager.
Example
A Supervisor configures BLFs on his phone for monitoring the status of a worker's phone use.
When the worker picks up his phone to make a call, a busy indicator on the Supervisor's phone
shows that the worker's phone is in use and busy.
BLF SETTING
On the 6865i IP phone, the LED lights next to each BLF programmable key illuminate steady
to indicate the monitored line is off-hook or unregistered. The LED goes off when the line is
idle. When the monitored extension is ringing, the LED flashes.
On the 6867i, 6869i, and 6873i the busy and idle states are indicated by the color of the softkey
button on screen (i.e. red for busy, green for idle, yellow for ringing, yellow hold icon for hold)
On the 6867i and 6869 the LEDs indicate the states as well (i.e. solid for busy, off for idle,
blinking for ringing and on hold).
Note: You can configure a maximum of 50 BLFs shared between the phone and any
attached expansion modules.
You can configure a BLF key on the IP Phones using the configuration files or the Mitel Web UI.
