Measure TPS Voltage:
1, Reconnect th e A (32P) and 8
(25P)
connectors to the PCM .
2. Turn the ignition switch ON
(II).
3. Measure the vo ltage between
the C27 and 820 or 822 termi-
nals.
Is there approx. 0.5 V?
NO
Check Throttle Position Sensor
Ground Una:
1. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
2, Disconnect the throttle position
sensor connecto(.
3, Check for contin uity between
the N o. 1 t e rminal o f the
throttle position sensor con-
nector and the 8 20 and 8 22
terminal of the PCM.
Is there continu ity?
NO
Check f or continuity between the
C18 and 820 or 822 terminals.
Is there continuity?
NO
Check for loose terminal
fit
in the
PCM connectors. If necessary.
substitute a known·good PCM
end recheck.
