The scan tool indicates Diagnostic Trouble Code (OTC) P0452: A low voltage problem in the Fuel Tank Pressure
sensor.
The fuel tank pressure sensor converts fuel tank absolute pressure into electrical signals and inputs the ECM/PCM.
- The MIL has been reported on.
- OTC P0452 is stored.

Check the vacuum lines:
Check the vacuum lines of the fuel
tank pressure sensor for misrout-
ing. leakage, breakage and clog-
ging .
Are th e vacuum lines OK?

Problem verification:
1.
Do

Procedure.
2.
Remove the fuel fill cap.
3. Tum th e ignition switch ON

4. Monitor the FTP Sensor vo lt-
age

b etw ee n b o dy ground and
ECM/PCM terminal A29.

Is there approx. 2.5 V?

Check for an open in wire (VCC2
line) :
1. Turn the ignition switch
OFF.
2. Reinstall the fuel fill cap.
3.
Disconnect the fuel tank pres-
sure sensor 3P
connector.
4. Turn the ignition switch ON
(II).
5. Measure vottage between the
fuel t ank pressu re senso r 3P
co nnecto r No. 1 term ina l an d
No. 2 t erm ina l.

Wire side of femal e terminals
at this time. Check for poor con-
nectlons or loose wires at C580
(located at access panel), C646
(fuel tank pressure sensor) and
at the ECM/PCM.
Repair open in the wire between
the
fuel tank pressure sensor and
tho ECM/PCM IA29I.
