Check for a short in the wi,e
(PTANK line.:
Measure voltage between the fuel
tank pressure sensor 3P connector
No.3 terminal and No.2 terminal.
Is there approx . S V?
YES

Replace the fuel tank pre.lure
sensor.
NO
Check for a short in the wi'e
(PTANK line):

Turn the ignition switch OFF.
2. Disc on nect the ECM/PCM
connector A (32P).
3. Check fo r continuity between
the fuel tank pressure sensor
3P connector No. 3 terminals
and body ground.
YES
Is there continuity?
Repair
short in
the wire between
/ ' the fuel tank pressure sensor and
NO
the
ECM/PCM (A29).
Substitute
ill
known-good ECMI
PCM and recheck . " symptoml
indication go •• away. replace
the original ECM/PCM .
