Performance requirement for the Media Gateway (= Gateway HG 1500)
Calculation of the dynamic performance requirement for the DSL connection on the basis of the
highest throughput rates (upstream = 192 Kbps = (192 x 1000) / 8 bps = 24000 bps, Down-
stream = 2048 Kbps = (2048 x 1000) / 8 bps = 256000 bps). The following formulae apply for
1400 byte packet length:
Upstream:
24000 bps
1400 bytes/packet
Data transfer (addi-
tional feature: En-
hanced B Channels
disabled over WBM.)
Payload (additional
feature: Enhanced B
Channels disabled
over WBM.)
The specified performance requirement of 738.0 points is below the 980 total performance
points that the HXGM3 board can provide. The configuration is feasible.
